30' diameter x 45' long active steam autoclave is utilized to cure large composite structures such as bow domes for the Virginia Class fast attack nuclear submarine, and sonar domes for Guided Missile Cruisers, Destroyers, and Frugates. Our automated Gerber cutter provides precision cut paths to exact dimensions for a variety of fabrication materials including fiberglass epoxy, glass fabrics, carbon, and rubber. Consistent, accurate cutting enhances material utilization. Consequently, re-cutting and associated labor costs are collectively reduced.

EPP has the latest manufacturing equipment for producing quality composite products for marine and aerospace markets. We utilize two autoclaves capable of producing a broad spectrum of advanced composite parts. Our 5 Axis Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Machine Center facilitates low cost rapid prototyping and expeditious incorporation of design changes. This in-house capability allows EPP the flexibility to produce our own composite tooling, and machine complex shaped composite structures.

Our location in Jacksonville, Florida was chosen specifically to facilitate shipment of large components via access to the Atlantic Ocean and the Intra-coastal waterway. We own a 16-acre facility that includes the following:

Our 5 Axis Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Machine Center enables us to be a vertically integrated facility with low cost rapid prototyping, composite tooling production, and in-house machining capability.
  • Environmentally Controlled Fabrication Building
  • High Bay Assembly Building
  • Materials, Test & Characterization Laboratory
  • Engineering Center
  • 5 Axis Machine Center
  • Custom Resin Mixing Equipment
  • Paint Booth & Blast Booth
