Current Products

The Secretary of the Navy, The Honarable Donald C. Winter expresses his interest in EPP's innovative, lightweight, fireproof composite material system that is being tested on the Marine Corps Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle. New uses and product forms for FyreRoc Fireproof Composite Materials are constantly being developed. This high temperature, fireproof material can be fabricated into structures using standard composite processing methods including compression molding and autoclave curing. Additionally, manufacturing development is underway for spray-on applications. FyreRoc material applied to a substrate functions as an excellent oxidation protection system.

Our current FyreRoc products include:

FyreRoc Flat Panels

FyreRoc flat panels are available as a standard product family of compression molded flat sheets measuring 3’ x 7’ using stainless steel, glass, and carbon reinforcements.
FyreRoc fireproof composite flat panels can be manufactured to be as rigid or flexible as your application requires. FyreRoc fireproof composite flat panels can be attached with simple fasteners.

Custom Flat Panels

FyreRoc Custom Flat Panels are available in a variety of reinforcements, thickness, and core materials. Goodrich can produce panels of varying thicknesses by changing the number of plies of reinforcement using a variety of fibers. Should your application require sheet sizes larger than the current 3’ X 7’ standard, our team can work with you to find a solution.

Custom Integrated FyreRoc Sandwich Panels

Goodrich produces integrated sandwich panels with FyreRoc cores and FyreRoc skins which outperform any sandwich panel system made with an organic core for high temperature applications. The non-combustible FyreRoc cores are either a foam or corrugated shape. These sandwich panels are reinforced with carbon fiber, glass, and stainless steel and offer a 100% inorganic fire barrier structural solution.

Sandwich or Cored Panels

FyreRoc® fireproof composite panels can be molded on or bonded to a variety of core materials including balsa, gypsum, honeycomb, polyurethane, phenolic, and intumescing materials to name but a few. These combinations can provide high temperature and fire performance with increased thermal insulation, greater stiffness, thinner designs, and lower weight.
